“ A fantastic pizzeria that makes their own pizza dough, cheese, and sauce and then has a brick oven! We had the pepperoni, the Basil, and the BBQ pizza (add bacon!) and they were all fantastic and so fresh! They also have a large selection of craft beer, wine, and local sodas. Fair prices and a fun atmosphere and great service make this pizzeria a gem hidden in the countryside! ”
“ Sfumato's is a great place, loved the atmosphere and the food. The atmosphere is very relaxed, soft upbeat music and non-genre-specific decor fills this place. The pizza was very good and the service was kind and quick. I loved the family business environment, it was great to see into the kitchen and see family members of all ages pitching in. The deserts were fantastic as well. Definitely would go again! ”
“ So worth the trip to have a really great pizza!! Updated 12/19/24: I also found out they make fresh bread which is phenomenal!! It's like English muffin meets bagel...absolutely the best for toast and butter!! ”
“ Pretty cool little place...only thing better than the food was the excellent staff. Had a great time visiting. I'll be back! ”
“ Every time I am back in NW Iowa I’m begging to get to this hidden gem. When you go, just order every kind of pizza that sounds good to you, and one that you’re maybe a little bit unsure about. You won’t regret it, and you’ll soon find yourself once again traveling to find the elevator in the middle of nowhere that just so happens to also have an old renovated gas station that cooks up the freshest pizza you’ll ever have. ”
“ The only thing in the area is a house and some silos. You feel like you're at some pizza oasis in the middle of nowhere. The building has a great atmosphere and the staff is friendly, but busy. The pizza was a little different than what I was used to, but nonetheless quite good. My Dad and I had a couple of fancy root beers with the meal. The next time I'm in the area, I'd like to have a second taste. ”
“ Very good place to eat pizza and mingle with family and friends! Their pizzas are amazing and their salads are delicious! I tired their Shirley temple drink! That was incredible! I highly recommend! ”
“ This place is so warm and welcoming! The pizza is so flavorful! The salads are the best and dessert was excellent. Owner Shannon knows how to make you feel like a valued guest. Her wine suggestions were superb. ”
